What are the risks of Hemorrhoid skin tag removal? Will it leave a huge scar?

   Indications of surgery are very limited now. Generally speaking, first and second degree hemorrhoids almost always resolves with conservative measures, even many cases of third and fourth degree responds to conservative measures. Also, cases not responding to these measures should be tried first with non-operative procedures as rubber band ligation before surgery i.e. surgery is reserved to cases not responding to any other measures.

   Conservative measures cure most cases of hemorrhoids and are also necessary in any case to avoid recurrence. They consist of dietary changes, mainly in the form of increasing fiber in diet and drinking a plenty of water (8-10 glasses daily), bowel habit retraining, behavioral changes and some herbal remedies known to be helpful for hemorrhoids.

   Stapled hemorrhoid surgery, or procedure for prolapsing hemorrhoids (PPH), has recently become prominent.

   PPH is an excellent alternative for treating internal hemorrhoids not amenable to conservative or nonoperative approaches. Short- and medium-term results are excellent. Patients with minimal external tags and large internal hemorrhoids are easily treated with PPH and skin tag excision. Operative resection is sometimes required to control symptoms of internal hemorrhoids.

   I would give a great deal to know why you (or anyone) would be concerned about a scar in that area.

   No, no, no, this is not something you do at home, or use an alternative medical result for, Doctors are pretty good with sutures and more and more they use medical clips to close operations, this is something you need to ask your doctor about.

   Actually, after you remove skin tags on the skin, you don’t have any worries about getting scars since a lot of modern devices like laser scar treatment are now use for most beauty surgical centers.
