Banding – A tight rubber band is tied around your hemorrhoid so it cuts off blood supply and falls off.
- Haemorrhoidopexy surgery – A specially designed stapler is used to remove some of the tissue above the external hemorrhoid which pushes it back into the anal canal and reduces the blood supply to it so it shrinks and eventually goes.
- Haemorrhoidectomy surgery – You are put to sleep and then the hemorrhoid is cut off. You will need to spend time in hospital and it is more painful then Haemorrhoidopexy surgery but is less likely to come back.
