I have a hemorrhoid and I don't know what to do. Could someone please help me?
I’m a 22 year old female with some stomach problems, and I think strain or something caused a hemorrhoid. I first noticed a bump right on the outside of my anus, and it swelled and got bigger, and now it’s this bluish color. It won’t go away with Preparation H, and I looked up pictures of it on the internet, and it says that it’s something called thromboses hemorrhoid. How do I handle this? Is there anything I can do to make it go away? I’m so embarrassed. Should I call my family doctor, or go to the hospital? Please help.

hemorrhoids are actually very common and easy to get. Especially if you strain while going to the bathroom. After I had a baby, I was treated for them from my family doctor. The first treatment was just a cream to put on and then he gave me stool softeners. Another suggestion they gave me was sitz bath, basicall just sitting in a bathtub of warm water. Also take it lots of fiber so that you are regular and dont get constipated. But the dr is probably the fastest way to get rid of them. If all that stuff doesnt work, there is the option of a laser procedure that zaps them off.
Hope you get better and dont be embarassed! You would be surprised how many people actaully have them
You have to have your doctor prescribe you prescription strength suppositories but you’ll also need to really increase your fiber intake. Try taking extra fiber tablets and have a dish of assorted vegetables everyday. Most importantly you must have a couple of fruit pieces at the same time each day for example: a ripe pear, an apple and a peach. Once you become regular your hemorrhoids should go away on their own.
