I have an external hemorrhoid (size of kidney bean) no pain but embarrassing – can I get rid of it?

   You can try, but I don’t think prep h and other over the counter cream will help as they only deal with the problem ( not the root cause ) which offer temporary relief. I think surgery is the way to get rid of it.

   Prep. H or any other over the counter meds do not cure hemorrhoids. The help to relieve the painful/annoying symptoms like itching and burning. Nowadays they have very noninvasive out patient procedures to get the removed. I am 20 now and when i was 16 I had a very bad internal hemorrhoid. I decided to get it surgically removed. I was worried it would hurt but it did not at all. the whole thing took under 45 minutes. I was awake the entire time and was back home within 2 hours. It did not feel good but it was far from painful. I suggest looking online for doctors that treat them. The slight pain was gone within a day. Is one day of slight pain worth not feeling like you ass is on fire every time you poop? I think so.

   I thought this was interesting (have them myself, but on the inside) and did a google search for eternal hemorrhoid treatment. These look good. Hope this helps.

   if you do not get it removed by a doctor, it will turn into a cyst, and that could explode which would cause you unimaginable pain
