Saw blood after wiping, 30 weeks pregnant?
I went to the bathroom (both 1 and 2) and when I wiped I saw blood. I don’t think it came from my vagina but I’m still very worried.
I did some research and found out it could be from internal hemorrhoids or veins and I’m wondering if that is the case would I have felt those? Or would rectal bleeding be one of the first signs?
I just saw my doctor and I have another appointment first thing in the morning but I would like some answers.

There’s actually a quick way to tell if it’s from the hemorrhoids. Go back in the bathroom, and get a fresh piece of toilet paper. Lightly press it to your rectum. But don’t stick it up there or anything. Dab it a few times and look at the paper. If you have just aggravated the hemorrhoids they will bleed a little, and you should see little red spots of FRESH red blood. Then you’ll know for sure if it was that. Keep in mind that doesn’t always work, as they need to be recently annoyed. lol. But if you don’t get any blood from trying that, then call your doctor’s answering service. There’s no harm in a phone call, and it will help to ease your mind. Good luck!
If you went # 2 & saw blood, it could definately be from hemorrhoids. I have had them pretty much this whole pregnancy & it’s not fun! It happens from all of the pressure of the baby, placenta, uterus pressing down on veins. I find that Tucks pads help. Bring it up to your OB dr & they can recommend some other treatments.
well if you wiped really hard its possible you tore up a little bit because the tissue is getting more sensitive…its happend to me and i didnt even feel it..
When I was exactly 30 weeks along, I went to the bathroom and experienced the same thing. I rushed to the ER…I was just so scared and it was my first baby, so I can imagine what you thought when you saw it. My doctor told me that a little spotting is normal so late in pregnancy because of the veins being so sensitive to even the slightest bit of touch, etc. I had also been walking a lot that day, so she also explained that could have been the cause also. Internal hemorrhoids could have been the cause also. I would say that it is normal…at least that is what my doc. told me, but if you are worried, call your doctor or you could wait until in the morning and discuss it with him/her, which ever makes you feel more at ease. Just giving you my experience. I hope this helps. Congrats and good luck to you.
if its your bumm you definately would of felt it it would hurt when you go to the bathroom…
butt if its just like a little blood maybe soemthing you ate like nuts say lol scratched inside there ?
You have a little hemorrhoid – pregnancy does that. And sometimes you’ll get a little blood out of them before you even feel them.
Get yourself some witch hazel at the drug store – it’s really cheap, and it’s a great astringent – and it’s very soothing. Wash your rectal area with it whenever you’d like and you can also put some on a small bit of toilet paper and keep it next to the anus.
I understand that bleeding during pregnancy can be a very scary symptom. I still remember my first pregnancy and I was around 16 weeks. Then I saw some fresh blood in the closet and was shit scared. Ran to the ER only to know that I had a fissure. Then came to know that fissure and haemorrhoids are very common in pregnancy, especially due to constipation. Having gone through all this, I can now say that I panicked, but when you are pregnant and you see blood anywhere you do tend to panic.
