Is this a thrombosed hemorrhoid?
I have had 2 children by C-section and during pregnancy I developed hemorrhoids. They have never really bothered me except for being annoying. When I was 6 weeks pergnant with my 2nd baby back in early 2008 I had a few days of moderate pain. The pain wasn’t so bad I couldn’t carry on my daily life but it was bad enough that sitting and certain positions would be painful. The hemorrhoid bled for about 3 days straight but it wasn’t heavy bleeding just like spotting when you have your period. I had to wear a panty liner because of it. After that it has caused me no issue except for being annoying. Well last night I noticed it was bothering me more than usual and it was a little painful when sitting down or doing a lot of acitivity. I grabbed a mirror and took a look at it. It looks likes a piece of red skin is hanging out of my anus and inside of the hanging skin is a pea sized lump and it’s slighty purplish color. The hangy skin has been there since my first painful experience last year but the pea sized purplish lump has not been to my knowledge. So what I’m asking is if this is a thrombosed hemorrhoid and it had burst last year and it re developed? The pain I’m having right now isn’t horriable but I do notice it. So if is one what should I do? Do I go see my Dr? Will it heal by itself? Thanks!

Hi beachcutie03,
It would do you no harm to see your Doctor.Hemorrhoids very heal themselves unless you do something about then.
A quick rundown on hemorrhoids and what they are.Hemorrhoids are veins in the wall in your rectum and anus that have become twisted, swollen and inflamed. They can form either internally or externally, and the resulting lumps can cause pain and bleeding.
Your hemorrhoids are external, your symptoms can include swelling or a lump (blood clot) around your anus. These are referred to as thrombosed external hemorrhoids, and can be quite painful.
Ok enough of that here is what you do first:You start with SITZ baths,A sitz bath is a form of bathing where the bottom and hips are immersed in warm or cold water for 15 – 20 minutes.Warm sitz baths are best for cleansing the area while cool sitz baths help to ease swelling and can even help with constipation. Sitz baths will decrease inflammation of hemorrhoids as well as easing discomfort.Sitz baths can be used with water by itself or you can add other forms of solutions for example, add salt or baking soda to the water and allow yourself to soak in the water for 20 minutes. This trick works to clean the affected area as well as relieving pain.
Hey beachcutie03,don’t now go and make the mistake most people make and that is running off to the drugstore to get some pills creams suppositories. These over the counter products are in the whole not bad and do generally do what they are supposed to do.The big BUT is they do not heal the cause of your hemorrhoids, this means they will come back again and again.
So what you need is a natural cure for hemorrhoids and that can be found at the source area below. This natural healing remedy gets rid of them permanently.
I have also include a hubpage address for you to look at as there are pictures of thrombosed hemorrhoids for you to see and compare.
