Hemorrhoids supposed to have foul smell?
A relative of mine has had them for years, with consequent ocassional bleeding and discomfort, mostly when suffering from extreme constipation. But still someone on another part of the family, has had real bad case over the years, maybe two decades already. And in the last six months or so has been having the worse of smell, such as "cheese". At least three different doctors have seen this person for other problems, and become aware of this.
There is bleeding almost daily, and have been inflammated for a long time. The smell just keeps appearing, but doctors don’t seem to give it much importance. Is this okay?

There is probably some leakage due to inflammation and irregular tissue around the anal sphincter, so it is important to treat the hemorrhoids with corticosteroid creams. These types of creams reduce the swelling. Also, maintaining a high-fiber diet and drinking a lot of fluids is important, because it keeps stools soft and eases passage. If the smell is particularly bothersome, taking frequent hot baths may help. If the symptoms and/or smell persist, surgical removal of hemorrhoids is another option. The odor should subside if the hemorrhoids are treated as above.
If these people have Hemorrhoids that bad I would suggest they get them fixed.Had them myself but had them fixed and no more problem.
